Suicide Prevention Walks

Suicide Prevention Walks are where our community turns pain into connection and fear into action. These walks are not races, fundraisers, or photo ops - they're moving gatherings where we walk side by side, remember, learn, and remind each other that hope keeps living.

Our Community Awareness Walks bring students, families, mental health organizations, and neighbors together on the same path. As we walk, people see signs with messages of hope, facts about mental health, and reminders that help is real and available. Along the way, local resource tables offer information, conversations, and next steps for anyone who needs more support.

Memorial Walk Events offer a gentler, more reflective space for those honoring loved ones lost to suicide. Families can write names, carry photos, or add messages to a shared remembrance wall or display. There's room for tears, silence, and story-sharing, all in an environment where grief is respected, not rushed.

Youth Engagement Walks are designed with teens and young adults at the center. We include interactive stations, creative activities, and peer-led moments that help young people see themselves as part of the prevention movement - not just as "at risk," but as powerful voices for life and change.

Survivor Support Walks focus on suicide loss survivors and those who have lived through their own attempts or deep crises. Trained volunteers and partner organizations are present throughout the route so no one has to carry their story alone. People often leave with new friends, new resources, and a little more breathing room in their hearts.

Every walk, no matter the theme, sends the same message: your life matters, your story matters, and you don't have to walk this road by yourself.
